Accomodation
The Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Tafira (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), located 200 metres from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, offers part of its facilities to develop good research projects.
Rooms and meals
Rooms can be single, double or triple rooms with en-suite bathrooms.
The centre has several meeting rooms with TV and a library where you can work. WIFI is also available to facilitate work and the drafting of reports.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the price. And if necessary for the development of the activity, packed lunches are also included.
Materials
Depending on the projects suggested by the teaching staff and students sufficiently in advance, the necessary material for their development will be provided.
The laboratory may also be used for the analyses required, as long as this is agreed when the stay is contracted.
Transport to the places where samples are taken is included in the price, with activities taking place in the mornings and sometimes early afternoons.
Week Schedule
Sunday: Arrival at Gando airport.
Monday - Friday: working days in the morning
Afternoons: free and work in the laboratory if necessary. Report writing and statistical analysis. Visits requested in advanced.
Saturday: Departure:
The group will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the airport.
Places to visit
Gran Canaria has research centres that contribute their knowledge to the care and improvement of the environment, given its importance for the biodiversity of the Canary Islands.
Visits to some of these sites can be arranged if requested in advance and under the conditions of the owners of these centres or museums.
