Coast Projects
In the Canaries you can work in different types of coasts.
Depending on the tides and swell and taking care of safety, you can focus your students' EPQ on some aspects of the coastline, both rocky and sandy.

Sand landscapes
Abiotic factors such as wind, sand, waves, ponds, pollution, etc can be analysed and being a good start for a high EPQ project.

Rocky coasts
In Gran Canaria there are a lot of places with rocky coast. Depending on tides and weather your students can carry on a project in such sites.
Furthermore, in Gran Canaria there are artificial pools in the intertidal zone, which facilitates projects on plankton, benthic organisms in intertidal zones and in ponds.
Safety
Safety is important for us, so your students will be insured in these activities.
The carrying out of this work on the coast will be determined by tides, swells and other factors that may make the project unfeasible.
Given the diversity of ecosystems on the island, other areas can be chosen without risk.
